These targeted workouts support individuals who are ready to put in the work to break free from unhealthy coping mechanisms like alcohol, porn, and other destructive habits. The program also addresses relationship-damaging traits such as hiding, lying, and manipulation, encouraging participants to replace them with healthier, more authentic behaviors. Through focused exercises, you’ll build essential emotional muscles like awareness, empathy, vulnerability, and humility, fostering greater emotional resilience and relational strength. If you’re ready to grow, heal, and transform, Recovery Workouts provide the tools and guidance you need. Sample workouts Honesty / openness - becoming to understand your blind spots, the beliefs that have contributed to your unhealthy coping and blind spots. Activities: Review/reflect/document those people who contributed to your negative childhood events (pivotal moments), the resultant unhealthy beliefs and expectations (emotional imprints), and the corrosive coping mechanisms you adopted to deal with the emotional pain. Mindset (Foundation of Resilience) - Shaping thoughts, beliefs, and self-talk to foster resilience and emotional growth. This cluster emphasizes a growth-oriented, open, and flexible mindset. Activities: Cognitive reframing exercises, visualization of success, identifying and challenging limiting beliefs, and using affirmations to build mental strength. Awareness (Emotional GPS) - This workout focuses on recognizing the feelings in your body, and identifying and naming emotions as they arise without blame or judgement. Using phrases like “when (there is conflict, or an argument, or disappointments), I feel (sad, alone, scared, ignored). Activities: Mindfulness practices, body scanning, emotional journaling, and reflective self-inquiry to understand and name emotions. Unburdening (Releasing Emotional Weight) - Letting go of emotional baggage, limiting beliefs, and unresolved pain. This cluster focuses on emotional release and liberation. Activities: Gathering and documenting the people and places that contributed to childhood wounds, the resultant beliefs and unreasonable expectations, forgiveness practices, processing resentments, grieving and letting go Vulnerability & Humility (Courageous Exposure) - Embracing openness, authenticity, and humility in relationships. Vulnerability is framed as strength rather than weakness. Activities: Storytelling exercises, sharing unspoken fears, self-compassion practices, and practicing “I don’t know” or “I was wrong” statements. Empathy (Walking in Another’s Shoes) Deepening connection and understanding by seeing the world from others’ perspectives. Activities: Perspective-taking exercises, active listening drills, empathy-building role plays, and practicing “mirroring” during conversations. Inner Child (Understanding & Nurturing) This cluster incorporates self-understanding, awareness of triggers, and reparenting the inner child. The goal is to recognize when old wounds are being activated and respond with self-compassion. Activities: naming your kid, writing a profile of him (scared, petulant, feeling alone often, confused, etc..), developing and building awareness of his core emotional triggers and activation scenarios. Being able to self soothe and reinforce in a loving way. Regulating - Staying fully present and emotionally regulated in the face of stress or conflict. This cluster focuses on emotional balance and calm. Activities: Breathwork for regulation, grounding techniques, “Name it to Tame it” practices, and exercises for staying present in high-stress moments. Conflict, Acceptance - Navigating conflict with grace, accepting reality as it is, and finding purpose through service. This cluster focuses on transformation through relational and service-oriented actions. Activities: Conflict resolution role plays, radical acceptance exercises, self-inquiry on “what’s within my control,” and purpose-driven service activities to shift focus from self to others. |
